Sourdough Starter - Day #10

Patterns

It’s all about patterns

Ask any parent and they will tell you

Create a pattern

Your kids will thrive

Our brains are hardwired to find patterns

We seek out patterns to create efficiency

Patterns allow our brains to go on

Autopilot

Giving space for hirer level thinking

If you haven’t noticed by now

Baking is all about patterns

Growing your sourdough starter Baby goo

Has been a pattern

When we start baking bread

There are patterns

Formulas

It all goes together

Bread is in our DNA

We have been baking bread for about

10,000 years

That’s a long time

We’ve created a lot of patterns

Bread baking comes natural to us

So today

Day 10

Is following the same pattern

You should have fed you Baby goo this morning

And now this evening

You are feeding it again,

After you reduce it to 1cup

I told this wasn’t going to be rocket science

So here you go…

Reduce your goo to 1 cup

Add 1/3 cup warm water

Plus ½ cup flour

Mix until somewhat smooth

Cover with a kitchen towel

And set aside until tomorrow morning

Easy

Peasy

Only a couple of more days left

And you will get to make that first loaf

It’s going to be worth it

But until then

Give yourself a pat on the back

Sip some wine

Relax

And remember to repeat the pattern tomorrow

See you tomorrow!
